“Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree, how lovely are your branches”

Keith, Tom and I put my Mam’s Christmas tree up last Friday. I really love Christmas trees, now not in a Miss Haversham kinda way, they’re so pretty. Their history astonishes me, to think Martin Luther might’ve been one of the first to put candles on the mighty tree.

The tree itself is individual branches coded with letters and a pain the **** to put together. But it has a great shape when the hard work is done.

My mam has quite the collection of magnificent decorations, I remember them growing up. I’ve taken a photo of a few of my favourites.

Santa’s sleigh; it’s Newbridge and so cute.

Classic Waterford Crystal baubles.

A sweet little Angel.

A Swarovski star. Amazing!

My favourite decoration of all time. This little Dublin Hospice Angel was the guest favour we gave when we got married. It reminds me of one of the best days in my life.

Our own Christmas tree in my favourite Christmas colours Red and Gold.

Another amazing Christmas tree in Rockerfella Centre, NYC.

Have you put your tree up? Happy 1st December… T-24!
{I’ve decided to attempt Blogmas (wide eyed emoji) for those who’ve never heard the phase, it’s a daily blog post until Christmas… Wish me luck!}
