I HEART HANDBAGS!, Reviews

I finally bought a Samorga!

January 10, 2018 by Siobhan No Comments

If I had a euro for every handbag video I watched on YouTube, I would be incredibly rich!

Y’all know I love me a handbag… it’s been a few years now and the Louis Vuitton Neverfull has stolen my heart. So a few things…I’m usually not interested in ‘it’ bags. The ones that everyone has… never interest me, but even though I was brainwashed by this bag… I loved it. The design is simple, chic and so practical. I love the fact that the bag can hold so much. But let’s be honest, we girls always overpack our bags, it’s not always easy to find something small. But none the less it didn’t put me off. About a month before Christmas I took the leap and bought a Samorga Organiser for the bag. The Samorga site offers a huge variety of organisers for bags from many brands in a rainbow of different colours.

A side note, something I was aware of, it takes FOREVER to get to you!

I would say the only negative I can think off about the Neverfull MM (Medium) is that when filled it can be a little black hole like. But the Samorga organiser does away with this and makes it a dream to use. I’ve included more photos in my Instagram Highlights, here.

Are you a fan of organising your handbag?

Your hair can thank me later!

September 25, 2017 by Siobhan 6 Comments

So it’s known around these parts that my hair might be the most neglected thing in this house! I’m so bad at looking after it, I recently confessed to my eyebrow queen Siobhan, that I washed it with shower gel. Not something I was particularly proud off, it was in fact what pushed me to take the plunge and I purchased Revlon Uniq One.  This stuff is hair gold! So it’s got ten benefits and for me it’s fuss free. I apply three pumps to damp hair after the shower.  I heard it’s a fantastic as a protective heat treatment. I have found that…

1. It’s nourished the end of my hair and they’re not half as dry.

2. It’s perfect as a leave in conditioner.

3. I have noticed my hair has more volume.

I must say that application is important. I don’t put the treatment anywhere near my roots. I work it through my fingers and I to the end of my hair.  It has a smooth texture and the coconut scent is incredible. The bottle is fifteen euro. What are your hair care secrets?

❤️ Siobhán.

Transform your Skin with Pestle & Mortar!

August 2, 2017 by Siobhan 6 Comments

“Be good to your skin,  you’ll wear it everyday for the rest of your life”

Incredibly wise words from Renee Rouleau. I wouldn’t say I’m bad to my skin but I definitely need a kick up the bum at times. See I have good skin, a few issues with pigmentation and obviously the Irish broken capillaries around the cheeks and nose… but I don’t ever really have big issues with it. I had wanted to try the Pestle & Mortar for so so long!  So when I had the opportunity to pick these up in Meaghers Pharmacy, I jumped at the chance. They are sold together, or you can purchase separately. This wasn’t my first time using a Hyaluronic Acid serum! I had tried The Ordinary version, which I liked but enter Pestle & Mortar Pure Hyaluronic Serum! This serum is in a class of its own. It’s light, it’s incredibly quick to dry in, its plumping…It’s just so good at creating the perfect smooth base. I always follow up with a Moisturiser. I know some people use it as a primer before makeup. At the time I used it, I followed up with the Hydrate Moisturiser. I could possibly have written a separate post on the Moisturiser, I really really love it!

So let’s see a brief list of the Moisturisers I’ve used in the last twelve months… they were good! There was the entire Environ system, I did love this. I used quite a few jars of Clarins Hydraquench, another good cream. But when I opened the Hydrate, I knew it’d be a while before I’d buy another Moisturiser. I’m in love with this face cream.

1️⃣ Every night pressing down on the air tight lid was so satisfying.

2️⃣ The system is designed to dispense just the right amount of product with one pump.  It did!

3️⃣ There’s no sticking your fingers in the jar… (In my opinion every Moisturiser should come with a small spatula ala Chanel) or be airtight like the clever Hydrate dispenser

4️⃣ The cream smells incredible. It’s got Jojoba (which I find awkward to say but love to smell) green tea and Pomegranate which pumps the skin with antioxidants.

5️⃣ The cream helps the skin to stimulate collagen – helping with elasticity.  I was lucky to be sent a Hydrate Moisturiser. So I’ve started my second jar. I also show the texture of the cream on my Instagram, it’s super lightweight. If you’re interested in purchasing Meaghers Pharmacy have a coupon code currently for 15% off (VIP15). The Hydrate is €48, but it’s even better with a little discount.

Have you tried the Pestle & Mortar brand? What’s your favourite Moisturiser of all time? I’d love to know.

❤️ Siobhán.
