‘Beauty and femininity are ageless, and can’t be contrived, and glamour, although the manufacturers won’t like this, cannot be manufactured. Not real glamour; it’s based on femininity.’ –Marilyn Monroe
No person will inspire and shape a girl’s sense of style more than her mother. I finally talked my mam around and got her to pose for some photos. My Mam, Mary, would never consider herself as a glamorous person. But I don’t know anyone with a stronger sense of style. To me she oozes glamour, because just as Marilyn said femininity is glamour.
The entire look is Marks & Spencers except the cardigan is Topshop. My Mam’s wardrobe is largely four shops, M&S, Banana Republic, Coast and Monsoon.
Q. What wardrobe staple could you not live without?
It would have to be skirts.
Q. What three handbag essentials do you carry always?
Hmmm… My purse, my inhaler and a handkerchief.
Q.Who inspires your style?
I love the 1950’s style of dress and always have. I adore old movies, Doris Day had a fantastic wardrobe in movies like ‘Pillow Talk’ and ‘Move over Darling’

Marks and Spencer.

Chanel for Make-up and Vichy for skincare.
