I had planned to start the new year, with my return to work, and make further progress on my health kick of the later half of 2013. I like the idea of resolutions but I also think that they should be easy to maintain and add value to your life. My resolutions were based around maintaining my improved fitness, weening myself from my beloved fizzy drinks to drink more water and eating more fruit (I eat well and plenty of vegetables but my fruit intake is sporadic).

These goals or resolutions we start the new year with, seem to rush the days away.

I heard today of the tragic loss of a boy, the passing of a student. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, his friends and the school community. I now have a more important resolution, a reminder that the health and happiness of my family are more then enough to start the new year.

❤️ Siobhan.
